Distance Learning Day: October 13, 2020
Tuesday, October 13th: Students will not report to in-person schooling as this will be our Distance Learning Preparation Day.
A few notes about this day:
Dr. Westerfield will post a video to Class Dojo reiterating our distance learning expectations regarding attendance, assignments, etc. These expectations are also posted below.
Distance learning parents only - Your child's teacher will set up a time for a live 10-15 minute meeting with the distance learners in her or his class to check in with them regarding distance learning expectations. This is not a Parent-Teacher Conference, but please feel welcome to join your child for this meeting. Your child must attend this meeting live to be marked present on this day. There will be no recorded or live lessons this day.
Your child's teacher will send you the Zoom link on Monday, October 12th. The times for these meetings are:
7:30 - Kindergarten
7:45 - 1st grade
8:00 - 2nd grade
8:15 - 3rd grade
8:30 - 4th grade
8:45 - 5th grade
9:00 - ESL
9:30 - Intervention (Tier 2 & Tier 3)
10:00 - SpEd, Preschool, and Speech
Any distance learning materials needed for the 2nd quarter will be in labeled bags in front of the school all day on Tuesday, October 13th and need to be picked up.
All students (traditional and distance learners) will have one Math, one Reading, one Science, and one Social Studies review assignment. Distance learners should send pictures of the completed assignments to Class Dojo for their teachers. The assignments will be posted to the distance learning site. Traditional learners will come home with these pages on Monday, October 12th. Students should bring these pages back on Wednesday, October 14th when normal class schedules resume.
