Welcome

Hello Stewartsboro Stallion families! My name is Mrs. May, and I am your Behavior Interventionist. My role is to support students, teachers, and families with behavior. Please email me at [email protected] or message me on Dojo if you have questions.
What is RTI2-B?

Response to Instruction and Intervention for Behavior (RTI2-B) is a team-based approach for creating and maintaining safe learning environments.  This systems approach helps districts, schools, staff, parents, and students align social and behavioral supports into one sustainable and effective multi-tiered, problem-solving framework. For more information on RTI2-B, click here to see RCS Behavior information.

What is Check in/Check out (CICO)?
A student is paired with a CICO Mentor that meets briefly at the beginning and end of each school day. School-wide behavior expectations are defined and documented on a daily point sheet. The students receive a regular cycle of brief feedback on behavior from teachers throughout the day. Upon checkout, mentors determine if the goal for that day was met. If the goal is met, mentor and student talk about what went well, and the student receives a reinforcer. If the goal is not met, mentor and student talk about what can be done differently the next day.
